All of our furniture is lovingly handmade at our Derbyshire workshop.

Once we have taken the order for your chosen piece we set to work carefully sanding, staining and polishing. After passing our thorough quality control checks we then securely package and ship to you, keeping you updated from start to finish.

We take real pride in making beautiful furniture for you to live and work around for years to come.

Urban Reclamation is a small family owned Derbyshire based business.

We aim to source sustainable timber bringing it to life by creating beautiful, strong, and stunning furniture for you, your home and your life. With over 10 years experience we have a passion for wood and furniture design. Since day one it has been our goal to make bespoke rustic items from carefully selected timber.

In order to enhance the pattern and grain in the wood we use the highest quality beeswax which leaves a lovely eye catching glossy finish. When dry beeswax leaves wood resistant to water for 30 minutes. Beeswax also has very little environmental impact which is very important to us a Urban Reclamation.

We make everything to order so if you require a specific size please order the closest size and leave a message with your exact measurements. If you are interested in a specific size we have not listed, we can cut to size any size required. Please message us for any custom sizes, we are happy to fulfil your order.

Our woods contain a variety of unique characteristics, splits, cracks, knots, bows, twists etc. All add to the charm of the piece. We always check our timber to make sure it meets our exacting standards.

Each board will receive a minimum of 2 coats of wax in a choice of your colour. The colours may look slightly lighter/darker than the colour chart due to the wood being reclaimed. Wax sample images are an indication only as the final colour depends on the shade of the board used prior to waxing. We do strive to achieve as close a match as possible. Wax colours will vary slightly along with the grain of the timber which is dependent on each individual piece of timber.

We always attempt to make sure our colours match exactly what you want, if you are unsure about what you want please request some colour samples from us to help you make that decision.

Once your piece arrives we advise that you remove all the packaging and allow your new wood time to adapt to its new environment. Please check your new items thoroughly and contact us should there be any issues.

All items are handmade/designed by us in our Derbyshire Workshop by our highly skilled team here at Urban Reclamation.

Delivery times vary depending on current workload so please see the estimated delivery date before ordering. Delivery is included in the price, and you will be updated with all tracking information.

We offer free delivery across the UK on all orders.

Once you’ve placed your order, we’ll send you a confirmation email. Most items are dispatched within 7–10 days.

When your item is ready to be sent, we’ll provide you with a tracking number, which will become active 24 hours before delivery.

To keep you updated, we ask for your email and mobile number when you order. This helps us share delivery details with our couriers and ensures you stay informed.

You’ll receive a notification with your delivery date, a 2-hour time slot, and, in most cases, live tracking updates.

Our couriers deliver Monday to Friday, unless you’ve requested an alternative option.

How long before we will receive our order?
Generally all orders will be received within two weeks. As everything is handmade to order we will attempt to get all order sent as soon as we can.

How can I track my order?
You will receive an order confirmation after you have placed your order. Once the item is ready for dispatch you will received a confirmation email along with the relevant tracking information.

Am I able to cancel my order?
Please call our office on 01457 761721 with your order number to hand. Out of hours please send an email to info@urban-reclamation.com requesting to cancel your order making sure you have your order number handy. 

Am I able to return my order?
Our returns form will be inside the box, just fill this out to ensure a fast and efficient refund. The customer is responsible for the returns postage costs.

Will items be ready assembled?
Items such as shelves will need brackets fixing to the wall first. Anything with metal legs/supports will need attaching with the screws provided.


As soon as we receive your order back at our workshop we will issue you the full refund.

We would suggest using one of the courier comparison sites. We find Parcelmonkey and Parcel2go to be the best around, they offer great rates from multiple courier companies.
